Professional High Mountain Guides: Guide with official title. Member of the AAGPM. According to the number of people we will include a guide assistant.

Number of days: 12 (twelve) since the arrival to San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca until your departure. Consult other programs.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Transfer from the airport to the hotel, San Fernando del valle de Catamarca.

Day 2: San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca – Fiambalá.
We leave the city at morning hours and head to the location of Fiambalá, the last town before our crossing. Hot Springs.

Day 3: Fiambalá – Las Grutas.
We begin our itinerary by the International Route to Chile to Las Grutas, overnight stay and acclimatization.

Day 4: Wildlife watching next to the Cº Incahuasi. San Francisco Passage. Trekking.

Day 5: Las Grutas – Ancient mining camping (4200 m.) in Laguna de los Aparejos. We go in a 4x4 to the camping base, here we will travel and meet amazing salt flats and  high gaps of great beauty.

Day 6: Break and a great oportunity to take pictures in the camping and surroundings. A perfect day to rest and travel through the area, wildlife watching and and native flora around the camping.

Day 7: Transfer from the camping to Laguna Verde. A trip in a 4x4 going through the Laguna Azul, arriving at one of the margins of this Great Salar of the Laguna Verde from where we will be able to see the Mount Pissis, the third tallest mountain of America; and where we will set up the camping.

Day 8: Photo Opportunity.
A tour of the different lakes and salt flats and observing flemish, VICUÑAS (no tiene traducción al ingles), foxes, herons among others. Surrounded by imposing mountains, in a wild and rugged landscape.

Day 9: A visit to the campings of Mount Pissis.
Transfer in 4x4 until the camping base of Mount Pissis and trekking to the first camping of a height of 5100 m. in the base of the Argentinian Glacier (optional). Return to the camping in the Laguna.

Day 10: Return to Fiambala. Housing in Termas de Fiambalá, hot springs, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 11: Fiambalá – San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca.  A return trip to the provincial capital.

Day 12: Transfer hotel – airport.
