  • 2 nights accommodation with breakfast at Hotel in Salta in double or triple.
  • 1 night in San Antonio de los Cobres, group room, including dinner without drinks (set menu) and breakfast.
  • 2 nights accommodation in Tolar Grande, group room, including dinner without drinks (set menu) and breakfast.

Base camp: breakfast, lunch and dinner meals during the trek up and promotion to the top. Beverages. Cookers, heaters, fuel.              

Altitude camps: includes lunch for the higher camps.

Regular communication with base camp via VHF radio.

Professional High Mountain Guide. Guide to official title. AAGPM  (Argentina Association of Professional Mountain Guides) member. According to the number of people, will include an Assistant Guide.

 

Services not included:

  • Lunch and dinner during the stay in the city of Salta. Drinks during lunch and dinner in     the cities where we stayed.

  • Personal equipment, personal carriers, charges for any abandonment of the program and evacuation expenses.

Total days: 11 since arriving in Salta to departure.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive in Salta (1187 m)
We are in the city of Salta, the main city in northwestern Argentina. We stayed at the hotel and arrange the permissions on the Cultural Heritage Department of Salta. Equipment check. Visit the High Mountain Archaeological Museum.

Day 2: Salta - San Antonio of the Coppers (3,700 m)
After breakfast we depart for San Antonio de los Cobres passing through the Valley of Lerma and Quebrada del Toro, touring the landscapes of broken and heights. Accommodation.

Day 3: San Antonio de los Cobres - Tolar Grande (3,500 m)
We left way to Tolar Grande, after traveling 190 km from salt lakes and amazing rock formations. We stayed at shelter.

Day 4: Tolar Grande - Llullaillaco Volcano Base Camp (4,900 m)
We left the Base Camp of Llullaillaco volcano. We left the vehicle to take our backpacks and set up our camp after a short trek. The ascent route is via the Northeast, where it makes contact with archaeological sites at 4900 meters.

Day 5: Base Camp - Camp I (5800 m) - Base Camp
Equipment carrying to Camp I. Return to Base Camp (9hs.).

Day 6: Base Camp, Camp I
After preparing all the equipment we go to Camp I, after trekking for 6 hours we arrived to make camp, the group will participate in the assembly of tents and transfer of personal and group equipment.

Day 7: Camp I - Summit - Camp I
After breakfast, we left for the summit, is the hardest day of the expedition. After reaching the summit or try to get to the peak, we go back to Camp I. Overnight.

Day 8: Camp I - Base Camp - Tolar Grande
After breakfast, and break  camp, return to base camp (4 hours), get into the 4x4 car and move to Tolar Grande. Accommodation.

Day 9: Tolar Grande - San Antonio de los Cobres - Salta
Transfer from Salta Tolar Grande and hotel accommodations.

Day 10: Extra day for use by the Expedition Guide as criteria.

Day 11: Farewell
Transfer to start back to their place of origin.
